CrossFit
What is CrossFit? We answer this question regularly, so we try to express it in the simplest terms. At it’s heart, CrossFit is “Constantly Varied, Functional Movements, performed at High Intensity”. More simply stated, we do different things every day (but not random); perform movements that are natural and essential for the human body to be proficient at (no machines here), and we train for short periods of time (but we work hard).
We offer group training classes to achieve the best possible health and fitness of your life, while having fun and building strong relationships within our community. Every class is Coach led, every movement is instructed and improved upon, and every workout ends with high fives and cheers from those who put in the effort alongside you. Each hourlong class includes warmup, movement instruction, mobility and strength work, along with the workout of the day and cooldown/recovery instruction.
The focus of our program is general physical preparedness(GPP), which simply means our goal is to prepare you for anything known and anything unknown that life may throw at you. Whether you are preparing for your first marathon, trying to get off blood pressure medication, or find yourself in a natural disaster; our purpose is to ensure you are equally prepared for any situation. We call this becoming “harder to kill” and it applies to all of the potential things that can shorten the human life. From the most likely causes, such as chronic disease, to the unlikely causes of emergency situations and self defense.
In addition to our standard schedule of CrossFit classes, membership also provides optional access to nutrition coaches, Olympic and Powerlifting seminars, gymnastics and bodyweight exercise programs, and specialized endurance training protocols for distance athletes.
